Austria has said a potential final deal between the world powers and Iran will open new horizons between Tehran and Brussels.

Austrian Foreign Minister Sebastian Kurz said the potential deal between Tehran and the P5+1 group of countries would give “a new chance for a better cooperation between Europe and Iran, especially on the economic level,” Press TV reported.

Kurz, whose country currently hosts the latest round of the nuclear negotiations between Iran and the six world powers, also hoped that the final agreement would boost regional and international security.

The nuclear negotiation is underway in Vienna for to iron out disagreements for reaching a nuclear deal.

EU foreign policy chief, Federica Mogherini, said the final deal over Tehran’s nuclear program is “very close” as a July 7 deadline approaches.

However, a day before the July 7 deadline a source close to Iranian nuclear negotiating team said the final deadline for the Iran-P5+1 nuclear talks is set for July 9.

The talks should be finalized by July 8 night or July 9 morning, the source said, Iran’s Mehr news agency reported on July 6.

Despite the long-lasting negotiation, the removal of sanctions against Iran and access to or inspections of the country’s military sites seem to be the major bones of contention.

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry told reporters in the Austrian capital that over the past few days the sides made “genuine progress”, but also adding that “we are not yet where we need to be on several of the most difficult issues.”

Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif also confirmed that Iran and the P5+1 group of countries still face differences on some issues pertaining to the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program.

On some issues, he said, differences are still there, adding that the outcome is still unknown.
