Terror group head killed in Iran

Iran says a head of terror group head was killed in Sistan and Baluchistan province.

"Hosham Azizi (Abu Hafs AlBalushi), the head of Ansar al-Forghan Movement terror group alongside his two accompaniers were killed in Sistan and Baluchistam on Wednesday," IRNA quoted an Iran’s Deputy Interior Minister for Security Affairs April 23.

The report didn't mention the name of this official, but the Deputy Interior Minister for Security Affairs is Brigadier General Hossein Zolfaqari.

An Iranian official also confirmed that Mohammad Saeed Torkman Zehi, the second in command of the rebel Baluchi group Jaish al-Adl was killed in Pakistan recently.

Zehi, who was also the group’s spokesman, was reportedly killed in an attack by unknown gunmen in the city of Karachi.

The incident reportedly took place April 7, however the group has not made any statement on the issue so far.

Ansar al-Forghan Movement and Jaish al-Adl groups are active in Iran's southeastern regions in Sistann and Baluchistan province.

An Iranian official also called these groups "made by Western-Arabian terrorists".

Iran has repeatedly charged the U.S., Israel and Saudi Arabia in supporting some terrorist groups against Iran.
