Turkmenistan plans to bring the oil production in 2015 up to 11.11 million metric tons, according to a message from the country’s state-run concern Turkmennebit.

The message said Turkmenistan this year plans to increase the oil production by 2.9 percent as compared to the same period of the last year.

At present, Turkmennebit operates about 30 fields that include over 600 oil, oil and gas, and gas deposits at different stages of development.

Earlier, it was reported that the state concern is holding extensive geological exploration works at the ‘North Goturdepe’ field on the Turkmen shelf of the Caspian Sea.
