Armenian parliament may discuss the issue on the impeachment of President Serzh Sargsyan in December.

Member of the Parliament Nikol Pashinyan said he planned to initiate a draft decision to announce the president impeached.

"I hope that the project will gain the essential 44 signatures by the legislators to get discussed at the next extraordinary four-day meeting," Pashinyan said.

Article 57 of the Armenian Constitution provides the possibility of impeaching the country's president due to treason and other serious crimes. The parliament should appeal and obtain the opinion of the Constitutional Court to start the impeachment process.

President Serzh Sargsyan is targeted as the main negative personage in the journey to the Eurasian Economic Union. He made the decision on the EEU joining without taking into consideration the pubic opinion in his country. Now, the pro-European residents held Sargsyan liable for all negative outcomes, which will reportedly emerge after joining the Russia-led union.

Sargsyan takes care of himself rather than delving into the solution of problems facing his country and people. Nearly one third of Armenians live in poverty, but the president visits South Korea to rejuvenate himself, paying about $200,000 for stem cell therapy, spa and anti-aging therapy, as well as body polishes and massages, weight-control programs during an eight-day treatment.

MP from the parliamentary fraction Prosperous Armenia, Stepan Markaryan has earlier said the call "Serzh Sargsyan, go out" was the solution of all problems in Armenia. It signals about Sagsyan's diminishing influence, at the same time increasing disillusionment with his domestic and foreign policy.

Political experts say the majority of the ruling Republican Party members at the parliament will not allow the parliament to discuss and ratify the president's impeachment.
