Garibashvili meets NATO offical

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili met with Head of the NATO Liaison Office in Georgia William Lahu on November 11.

The sides discussed the issues on the cooperation, regional security and situation in Ukraine, particularly focusing on the significance of the existing package, which Georgia received following the outcomes of the NATO Summit in Wales.

The parties talked on the implementation of the mechanisms provided by the package, as well as expressed their hope that Georgia's defensibility and security will increase after realization of the certain missions.

The first meeting between Garibashvili and the recently appointed NATO Chief Jens Stoltenberg will be held in Brussels on November 17.

Georgian Foreign Ministry reported that Head of the Cabinet of Ministers will leave for Brussels to attend the first meeting of the Georgia-EU Association Council.
