Turkey appoints new premier on August 27

The interim Turkish Prime Minister will be appointed on Aug. 27, the Turkish "Sabah" newspaper reported.

Interim Prime Minister will be appointed after a meeting of Turkey`s ruling Justice and Development Party. Incumbent Prime Minister of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan will give his authority to the appointed interim head of the government Aug. 27.

The mandate of interim prime minister will expire before the parliamentary elections to be held in Turkey in June 2015.

Presidential elections were held in Turkey on Aug. 10.
Incumbent Prime Minister Erdogan won the election with 51.8 percent of the vote.
