Muslim Brotherhood leader and 683 Islamists face death sentence in Egypt

An Egyptian court on April 28 sentenced 683 supporters of ousted President Mohamed Morsi, including Muslim Brotherhood leader Mohamed Badie to death, a lawyer and prosecutor said Hurriyet Daily News reproted.

The same court also reversed 492 death sentences out of 529 it passed in March, commuting most of the death sentences to life in prison.
