Turkey to fight illegal wiretapping: Gul

29 March 2014 [11:38] - TODAY.AZ
The illegal wiretapping of a top secret security meeting was an act of espionage against the security of the state, Turkish President Abdullah Gul has said Anadolu Agency reported.

Speaking in Istanbul on Friday, Gul condemned the leaking of a state meeting about possible threats to a Turkish enclave in Syria, saying the attackers would be found by Turkish police and heavily penalized by a Turkish court under the state's constitutions.

Gul said he had held talks with Turkey's PM, foreign minister and intelligence agency chief to discuss what more needed to be done to fight wiretapping.

"Turkey is not tolerant towards this kind of illegal leaking against the state security, at any time," Gul said.
