Head of Majlis (parliament) National Security and Foreign Policy Commission said that Britain should accept Iran as winner of the nuclear issue, IRNA reported.

According to the report of Majlis Media Department, Aladdin Boroujerdi, in a meeting with Jack Straw, head of Britain-Iran parliamentary friendship group, and his accompanying delegation, who are in Tehran, by referring to the negative history of Britain in Iranian public opinion said that Britain, unfortunately, in addition to its bitter historical background, had an unsuccessful performance after victory of the Islamic revolution.

Concerning nuclear energy, Boroujerdi addressed Straw and told him that 10 years ago when he was here in Tehran with foreign ministers of Germany and France, he said explicitly that Iran has no right to have two centrifuges and now we have 19 thousand of them.

Jack Straw, for his part, referred to Iran's international and regional position and added that Iran is a great country with strong civilization and is influential on the world and regional equations.

He continued that Britain's parliamentary delegation visit to Iran aims to recover mutual ties and we hope that with the positive view of the Iranian side, existing obstacles be removed from ways of expansion of relations.

Concerning Iran's nuclear issue, Jack Straw said that considering Iran's positive approach toward implementation of Geneva agreement, he is optimistic and hopeful that the agreement leads to removing sanctions, and returning of Iran's dossier from the UN Security Council to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

On Syria, the British MP said that Syrian crisis has only a political solution and Iran with its effective role should participate in Geneva II conference.
