Missing FBI agent discussed by Obama and Rowhani

14 December 2013 [11:14] - TODAY.AZ
US President Barack Obama raised the case of missing FBI agent Robert Levinson with Iranian President Hassan Rowhani in a telephone call, White House spokesman Jay Carney says, dpa reported.

Obama also has reiterated calls for Levinson's release, Carney said.

Carney said the last sign that Levinson was alive came in 2011 when the White House received indications that Levinson was being held in south-west Asia. At the time Secretary of State Hillary Clinton publicly asked for his return.

He said Clinton also raised the issue with Iran and called for Iran's help after the Iranian government offered assistance in finding Levinson.
