FM: Turkey wants Armenian-Azerbaijani relations to normalise

Ankara's desire is to normalise relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu was quoted by the Turkish news agency Ikhlas as saying.

"One of Ankara's desires and goals are to normalize the Armenian- Azerbaijani relations," Davutoglu said.

According to Davutoglu, Ankara is ready to do everything possible to normalise relations between the two countries and to restore stability in the South Caucasus.

Davutoglu also stressed that one of Turkey's objectives is to regularise relations between Ankara and Yerevan.

Whilst speaking about the invitation received to participate at the meeting of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Council, to be held in Yerevan on December 12, Davutoglu also stressed that the invitation is of a protocol nature.

Earlier, the Foreign Minister's advisor Osman Sert said that Ahmet Davutoglu's visit to Yerevan is under question.
