Turkish company intends to establish textile firm in Georgia

Representatives of the Turkish company Chalik Holding paid a three-day visit to Georgia on Wednesday. According to the Georgian National Investment Agency, the delegation is headed by director of Chalik textile holding's subsidiary.

The visit was organised by the Investment Agency.

The company is interested in investing in the Georgian textile sector. In particular, the company is looking at creating a garment enterprise in western Georgia, where about 600 people will be offered jobs.

The delegation will inspect sites proposed for construction in Adjara, Guria and Imereti.

Meetings are planned to be held with representatives of the Investment Agency, Partnership Fund and House of Justice, where potential investors will become familiarised with the investment sphere, business opportunities and procedures.

Chalik Holding is one of Turkey's largest companies. Its assets are worth $6.5 billion.
