Powerful blast reported near Russian embassy in Syria

A powerful explosion in the centre of Damascus has damaged the Russian Embassy building, a source at the embassy told RIA Novosti.

He said the explosion shattered windows. No report is available about the victims of the accident.

At present, the embassy is assessing the material damage.
