Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan congratulated the leader of "Georgian Dream" coalition, billionaire Bidzina Ivanishvili on victory in the parliamentary elections.
As "Georgian Dream" reported, telephone conversation between Erdogan and Ivanishvili was held the night before.
The parties discussed the state of the Georgian-Turkish relations, standing for continuation of good-neighbourly relations.
Erdogan and Ivanishvili expressed confidence that the cultural and trade relations between the two countries will develop more in the future.
Parliamentary elections were held in Georgia on Oct.1. Around 14 parties and two political blocs participated in the elections.
According to full the preliminary data of the Georgian Central Election Commission, the Georgian Dream coalition will receive 83 seats in the parliament, and the United National Movement, 67.
