8 Turkish soldiers were killed as a result of terrorist attack from northern Iraq in Hakkari province of Turkey.
APA reports that the Hakkari governorship issued an official statement on the incident. According to the statement, 8 soldiers were killed and 16 wounded as a result of terrorist attack to the Yeshiltash frontier post in Yuksekova settlement of Daglica area. 10 terrorists were killed.
Deputy Prime Minister Bashir Atalay, Interior Minister Idris Naim Shahin, Chief of the General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces Necdet Ozel and army generals have arrived in the region. Operations in the area against terrorists are being continued.
