Astrakhan, Dushanbe commemorate national leader Heydar Aliyev

The official ceremony to commemorate national leader of Azerbaijan Heyar Aliyev was held in Astrakhan, Russia, at the secondary school named after Heydar Aliyev. The event involved city authorities, representatives of the Baku executive power, general public and students.

The similar event was organized by the Azerbaijan’s Embassy in Dushanbe, capital of Tajikistan. Representatives of various international organizations, diplomats, activists of the Azerbaijan Diaspora, journalists and intellectuals attended the event.

Ilham Zamanov, Chargé d’Affaires of the Azerbaijan diplomatic mission to Tajikistan, briefed the participants on the national leader Heydar Aliyev’s activity and his significant role in the history of Azerbaijan. The participants of the event also watched documentary produced by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
