Demining operations on Azerbaijan-Georgia border will be launched soon

The project on mine and UXO clearance on Azerbaijan-Georgia border – in Jeyranchol was approved both by governments and donors, Manager of the Azerbaijani National Agency for Mine Actions (ANAMA) Musa Jalalov said.

He said that the implementation of the projects would start in the nearest future and noted that the total amount of the project that would be implemented within 48 months is USD 9 mln.

ANAMA representative spoke about operations carried out in the territory of exploded former soviet military base situated in Guzdak settlement of Baku’s Garadagh district. Jalalov said that the weapons which are not familiar to Azerbaijani Army up to now, were found in that base.
