President Ilham Aliyev holds range of meetings - UPDATE

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received today Latvia`s Economy Minister Daniels Pavluts.

Pavluts expressed satisfaction with his visit to Azerbaijan as a first representative of the Latvian government. He said Latvia`s new government was interested in further development of cooperation with Azerbaijan. Pavluts noted relations between Azerbaijan and Latvia were at a very good level. He underlined the importance of high-level reciprocal visits in expansion of cooperation.

President Aliyev said Azerbaijan was keen on further development of cooperation with Latvia. He noted successful reciprocal visits of presidents yielded good results. The Head of State pointed out Azerbaijan-Latvia relationship was developing dynamically in recent years. The Azerbaijani leader noted several investment projects in trade sphere were underway to stimulate cooperation between the two countries.

President Ilham Aliyev expressed hope that Azerbaijan would successfully cooperate with Latvia`s new government.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received today Swiss Minister of Environment, Transport, Energy and Communications Doris Leuthard.

The Head of State pointed out the Swiss Minister`s visit would provide good opportunity to discuss development of bilateral relations.

In turn, Leuthard expressed satisfaction with her first visit to Azerbaijan. The Minister underlined she is aware of huge investments into infrastructure projects in Azerbaijan, adding this is an important factor for development of economy.

The sides exchanged views on cooperation prospects between Azerbaijan and Switzerland in economic, transport, energy and other spheres.
