President of Austria pays respect to national leader Heydar Aliyev

President of Austria Heinz Fischer has today visited the Alley of Honors to lay a wreath at the tomb of architect and founder of Azerbaijani state, national leader Heydar Aliyev.

He put flowers at the grave of prominent ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva.

The President then visited the Alley of Martyrs to commemorate Azerbaijani heroes who gave their lives for the country`s independence and territorial integrity. He also laid a wreath at the Eternal Flame monument.

President of Austria enjoyed a panoramic view of the capital.
