Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy finishes course for Asian and African diplomats

Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy (ADA) finished course for the Asian and African diplomats, ADA said.

For the first time African and Asian diplomats attended the ten-day “Caspian Basin Studies” course of Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy.

Congratulating the attendants on the occasion of the completion of the course Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, ADA Rector Hafiz Pashayev said the program offered opportunities for the African and Asian diplomats to get information about Azerbaijan’s political, economic achievements, culture and history.

Nepalese diplomat Sharma Pokharel said Azerbaijan made great impression on them, highly appreciated the knowledge obtained here and the sincerity of people.

Certificates were given to the diplomats, who attended the course.

14 diplomats from Haiti, Samoa, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Nepal, Myanmar and Malaysia attended the course.

The foreign diplomats were delivered lectures on the historical and cultural heritage of the Caspian region, the legal status of the Caspian Sea, geopolitics of the region, oil industry, economy, investment opportunities, potential threats to the security of the region, regional conflicts. The representatives of ADA, Foreign Ministry, SOCAR, Central Bank and Azerbaijan Export & Investment Promotion Foundation delivered the lectures.

In order to get detailed information about Azerbaijan’s culture and history the diplomats visited Guba, Gobustan, Bibiheybet mosque, Sanqachal terminal, museums and other cultural spots of the country.
