A meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State was held in Moscow on December 10.

Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev participated in the event.
President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev welcomed, in the Grand Kremlin Palace, the heads of state, including President Ilham Aliyev. First, President Dmitry Medvedev hosted a working dinner in honor of the heads of CIS member states.
Then a restricted meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State was held. After the meeting, the heads of state posed for photographs. Later, the meeting was continued in an expanded format. Following the discussions, final documents of the meeting were signed.
Then, a press-conference was held. It was noted during the press-conference that in January next year Tajikistan would take over the CIS presidency.
The next meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State will be held in Dushanbe in September, 2011. Later same day, President ended his
visit to Moscow.
At the Vnukovo-2 Airport, the Azerbaijani President was
seen off by high ranking Russian state and government officials.
At
the Heydar Aliyev International Airport, the Head of State was welcomed
by Prime Minister Artur Rasizade, Chief of the Presidential
Administration Ramiz Mehdiyev and Baku Mayor Hajibala Abutalybov.
