New document on Armenia's non-fulfillment of obligations announced

28 June 2010 [11:11] - TODAY.AZ
A written declaration "Armenia`s continued non-fulfillment of international obligations" No 12323 was distributed and made public on the last day of the summer session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE).
Along with member of the Azerbaijani delegation to PACE Rafael Huseynov, the document was signed by 20 other MPs including representatives of Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, Norway, Poland, Macedonia, Poland and other countries.

According to the document, PACE expressed its concern in its resolution 1609 adopted in 2008 over post-election developments in Armenia, which cost the lives of 10 people protesting against irregularities and caused politically motivated arrests. Nevertheless, Armenia did not only fulfill the resolution but also continued violence against its citizens. Armenia failed to ensure transparent investigation of those developments and release persons apprehended. “MPs in the PACE become increasingly aware of what goals Armenia serves.

Therefore, they unhesitatingly sign the documents unmasking Armenians illegal policy. The written declaration is an evidence of this,” said Rafael Huseynov commenting on the document.
He pointed out Azerbaijan will be even more persistent in preparing new documents exposing Armenia`s policy.
