Azerbaijani ambassador to Great Britain: "Resolution of the Karabakh conflict will have a positive impact on the restoration of peace in the region"

Reports say that at the meetings the sides exchanged views about the current level and future prospects of development of relations between the two countries.

Gurbanov informed about the events, ongoing in Azerbaijan and in the entire region, stressing the importance of ensuring regional security. In this context, the ambassador especially stressed the need to settle the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, which will have a positive impact on peace in the entire region.

Moreover, Gurbanov spoke of the presidential elections held in Azerbaijan and said the elections were held in democratic and transparent conditions.

At the same time, the ambassador noted that the elections were assessed positively by international observers.
