Rouhani: Iran-Azerbaijan relations to further strengthen, expand

President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hassan Rouhani has sent a congratulatory letter to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

“I sincerely congratulate Your Excellency as well as all Azerbaijani people on the national holiday of Azerbaijan - the Republic Day,” Rouhani said in his letter.

“I am sure that the relations developing between Iran and Azerbaijan in different spheres will further consolidate and expand on the basis of the common values of our peoples owing to the political will and efforts of the supreme leadership of both countries,” reads the letter.

“On this remarkable day, I wish you good health and success, as well as prosperity and happiness to the people of Azerbaijan.”
