State Security Service reveals illegal religious complex in Baku suburban settlement

The State Security Service of Azerbaijan has revealed an illegal religious complex in Alat settlement of Garadagh district of Baku, the service said in a message on April 23.

The complex was identified in the course of joint activities with the State Committee for work with religious structures.

"Children were involved in religious rites in a complex secretly created by followers of non-traditional religious movements. In this complex, which was essentially an unregistered "mosque", numerous banned religious literature was found," the message said.

The State Security Service of Azerbaijan documented all the violations and stopped the activities of the complex. The investigation into the matter continues.
