A delegation of the Navy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam visited the Naval Forces of Azerbaijan.

The Vietnamese guests honored the memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev and laid flowers to his monument in the territory of the Naval Forces base.

During the meeting of the delegations, the sides discussed cooperation between the navies of the two countries, and stressed the importance of experience exchange, Azertac reported.

Then the Vietnamese delegation got acquainted with the territory of the Naval Forces, a detachment of warships and the educational base of the Naval Faculty of the High Military School named after Heydar Aliyev.

Azerbaijan and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam intend to strengthen the bilateral cooperation in the spheres of energy, transport, trade, and agriculture.

The cooperation between the countries is developing steadily in all spheres. Memorandum of understanding, signed by Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR and Vietnam Oil and Gas Group Petrovietnam, contributes to the development of energy cooperation between the sides.

The countries also have a potential for cooperation on alternative and renewable energy sources. Moreover, Vietnamese market is attractive for the export of Azerbaijan’s non-oil products.
