Ilham Aliyev expresses condolences to Russian president

Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev has expressed condolences to his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin over the casualties in Severnaya mine explosion.

“I was deeply saddened by the news of a heavy loss of life in an explosion in the Severnaya mine in Vorkuta,” said the president.

“On behalf of the people of Azerbaijan and on my own behalf, I extend my deepest condolences to you, families, relatives of the dead and all the people of Russia, and wish those injured a swiftest possible recovery,” President Aliyev added.
