President Margvelashvili says projects initiated by Azerbaijan and Georgia important to Europe

Large-scale projects as Baku-Tbilisi-Kars and TANAP play an important role in developing the Southern Caucasian region, said Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili in his speech at the parliament.

The President underlined that projects realized in the region under the initiative of Azerbaijan and Georgia was of great importance for not only the region, but also for all European countries.

“The Georgian government is taking necessary steps to address related issues. Concrete projects were already prepared. We believe we will do much more for prosperity of our nations by joining our efforts,” he noted.

The meeting of the parliament was attended by Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili, members of the government and 107 MPs.

Deputy Ambassador of Azerbaijan to the country Dursun Hasanov attended the event.
