Israel- Azerbaijan strategic relations highlighted

Ali Hasanov, Azerbaijani President`s Aide for Public and Political Affairs met with the Israeli media representatives on April 14.

Hasanov informed the Israeli journalists about important events in Azerbaijan’s social, political and cultural life, country’s domestic and foreign policy, achievements in the international arena and finally, about Azerbaijan-Israel relations.

Ali Hasanov expressed confidence that Israel media representatives will witness a high hospitality in all corners of the country.

General Director of AzIz Association Lev Spivak, who attended the meeting, expressed his satisfaction with the conditions created for the Jewish community in the country and introduced Ali Hasanov to various publications covering the structure’s activities.

Azerbaijan-Israel relations can be described as a strategic partnership, in accordance with the close ties Israel’s government agencies and non-governmental organizations established with Baku, including the media.

Azerbaijan's Jewish community along with Israel’s Azerbaijan community plays a big role in bilateral relations development. Jews have always lived in Azerbaijan in peace, friendship and mutual trust.

Though 96% of Azerbaijani population is Muslim, Azerbaijan is a secular republic where the state is entirely separated from religion. The Azerbaijani Constitution outlaws any type of political, racial, ethnic, national, cultural, religious, or sexual persecution. Today, Azerbaijan is home to many ethnic and religious groups.
