Saudi Arabia willing to expand cooperation with Azerbaijan in every field

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is willing to expand cooperation ties with Azerbaijan in every field, the Deputy Head of Azerbaijan’s Presidential Administration, the Chief of the Administration’s Foreign Relations Department, Novruz Mammadov tweeted April 7.

Top Azerbaijani official also said that Saudi Arabia supports Azerbaijan’s fair position in the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

“Saudi Arabia views the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict only within the framework of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan,” Mammadov said.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev is currently in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with an official visit.

Ilham Aliyev has met Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King of Saudi Arabia Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Minister of Finance of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Ibrahim Al-Assaf, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Ali Al-Naimi, Chairman of the Council of Saudi Chambers Abdulrahman Al Zamil, President of the Islamic Development Bank Group Ahmad Mohamed Ali.

The parties discussed cooperation as part of the international organizations, the prospects for expanding cooperation in the fields of economy, particularly oil and gas, tourism, agriculture, as well as between business communities, mutual investment making.
