Azerbaijani peacekeepers return home

A group of 23 Azerbaijani soldiers serving in the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan, returned home in accordance with the plan and rotation October 10, the press service of the defence ministry said Oct.10.


Peacekeepers of Azerbaijani armed forces have been serving in Afghanistan since November 20, 2002.
At present, the international peacekeeping mission in Afghanistan involves 94 soldiers, 2 military doctors and 2 engineers.
