Serbian RST TV channel has published in its website an article entitled “Next step towards peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict” about the Sochi meeting of Azerbaijani, Russian and Armenian presidents.
The author notes Azerbaijani and Armenian presidents hope for soonest peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The author also analyses recent escalation of tension on the line of contacts of the Armenian and Azerbaijani armies.
The author also gives information about the history of the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh, which started in 1988, saying the occupation of the Nagorno-Karabakh region have turned up into a bloody war. As a result of the war many people died and more than one million Azerbaijanis became refugees and IDPs. The ceasefire has been agreed in 1994, and the OSCE Minsk group has been established to settle the dispute.
