Armed Forces Day of Azerbaijan marked in serveral countires - UPDATE

A ceremony has been held in Washington, D.C to celebrate the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan.

The event was attended by officials of the U.S. Defence Department, representatives of the U.S. Army, Navy, Marine Corps, National Guard and Seacoast defense, U.S. Defense, Military, Air and Naval attachés of countries accredited in Washington, U.S. Defence Intelligence Agency and U.S. Department of Defense.

Azerbaijani ambassador to U.S. Elin Suleymanov and the country’s military attaché Aghaverdi Guliyev made speeches at the ceremony.

The speakers provided an insight into the history of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces.

The event continued with demonstration of videos about the country and the Azerbaijani Armed Forces.

Azerbaijan`s Embassy in Rome has arranged an event to celebrate the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan.

The event was attended by generals, admirals and officers of the Italian Defence Ministry and Armed Forces, foreign military attaches and representatives of the diplomatic corps.

Speaking to the event, Azerbaijani Military Attaché in Italy Anvar Ibrahimov provided an insight into the history of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces. He also highlighted recent military reforms and army building process in the country, as well as the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

The ceremony featured demonstration of a promotional video about the Azerbaijani Armed Forces.

Azerbaijan`s Embassy in Paris and the Office of the Military Attaché have organized a solemn ceremony to mark the Day of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan.

Participants in the event included representatives of the French Defence Ministry, Land Forces, Naval Forces, and Air Forces, foreign military attaches in Paris, senators, staffers of local military companies, and representatives of the Azerbaijani diaspora.

In their remarks, Azerbaijani ambassador Elchin Amirbayov and Military Attaché Eldar Ismayilov praised Azerbaijan-France military and defence cooperation. They said the visit by the Azerbaijani defence minister to France this January gave a strong impulse to the military relations between the two countries.
