Defense chief Hasanov meets Iranian counterpart

Azerbaijani Defense Minister, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov has met with his Iranian counterpart, Hossein Dehghani, Iranian media outlets reported on April 14.

The meeting was held at Iran's Defense Ministry.

The official meeting ceremony of Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov was held before the meeting. Afterwards, the minister visited the graves of Iranian martyrs.

The bilateral military cooperation issues were discussed during the meeting.

During the visit, it is expected to exchange views on regional security issues and to hold meetings with Iranian leaders.
