Azerbaijan purchased 23 156 small arms in 2006-2012

Azerbaijan purchased 23 156 light small arms in 2006-2012. APA reports quoting the UN Register of Conventional Arms that most of these weapons are automatic offensive arms.

19 420 slot machines and 3 120 pistols were bought during the reporting period. Most of slot machines – 19 000 were bought from Ukraine, most of pistols - 3041 from Turkey.

According to the reports submitted to the UN, during the reporting period, Azerbaijan purchased 150 slot machines from Serbia, 3041 pistols 270 MP-5 slot machines from Turkey, 110 rifles and carbines, 130 underbarrel grenades from Russia, 6 anti-tank missile complexes, 19 000 AKM slot machines, 50 SVD sniper rifles, 50 underbarrel grenades, one pistol from Ukraine, 160 Glock pistols from Austria, 178 rifles and carbines, 8 pistols from Italy, 1 2A42 cannon will 30 mm caliber and one rifle, which name has not been made public yet, from Slovakia.
