Azerbaijan's parliament discussed an agreement between the Azerbaijani and Georgian governments on the elimination of emergencies on October 4.
First deputy speaker of the Azerbaijani parliament, Ziyafat Asgarov, said at the parliament session that Azerbaijan is closely involved in the elimination of the aftermath of emergency situations occurring in neighboring countries.
According to Asgarov, this document has been prepared in accordance with the spirit of friendship and strategic partnership between Georgia and Azerbaijan.
He said all issues related to eliminating the consequences of emergencies in this document have been worked out to the details.
The agreement includes clauses on the activity of a joint working group, the exchange of information and assistance, transit, assistance operations, the use of aircraft, cooperation with international and local organizations, etc.
The document has been recommended for discussion at a plenary session of the parliament.
