Azeri women`s national dress demonstrated in Argentine - PHOTOS

The Azerbaijani women's national dress made by Argentine students were displayed as part of a series of events marking the 20th anniversary of restoration of Azerbaijan`s state independence in Buenos Aires.

The national costumes of Azerbaijan were displayed as part of the program “National costumes of Azerbaijan and ways to sew them” implemented in the frame of cooperation between the Azerbaijani Embassy in Argentine and Design and Architecture Department at the Belgrano University of Buenos Aires, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said.

Azerbaijani Ambassador to Argentine Mammad Ahmadzade gave detailed information on ancient and rich cultural heritage of Azerbaijan, noting importance of similar events in terms of building relations between nations and congratulated teachers and students of the University

Director for academic affairs at the Design and Architecture Department of the University Karina Freidrek thanked the Azerbaijani embassy for the initiative and support rendered in the course of implementation of the project and that the embassy’s cooperation with the University.
Then, Argentine models displayed national women’s costumes of Azerbaijan sewn by Argentine students under Sari Galin melody. The audience cheered display of the national costumes. The embassy provided the Argentine students with necessary materials and presented them souvenirs. The stand of national women`s costumes will be on display at the University of Belgrano for the next two weeks.
