Book on Azeri carpet presented in Hungary

A presentation of the book titled “Azerbaijani Carpet” by the director of Museum of Azerbaijani Carpet and Applied Art Roya Tagiyeva in the Hungarian language took part in the Museum of Applied Arts. The book was translated into the Hungarian language at the initiative and organization of the Azerbaijan Embassy in Hungary.

Opening the event, general director of Budapest`s Museum of Applied Arts Imre Takacs said that the museum is interested in expanding the relations with Azerbaijan. Imre Takacs underlined the importance of the organization of the event in the museum in boosting the cooperation in future. Azerbaijan`s ambassador to Hungary Vilayat Guliyev and director of the publishing house Korvina Lasno Kunosh made speeches in the event. The speakers touched on significance of the cultural ties.

Addressing the event, Professor Roya Tagiyeva provided information on the role of Azerbaijani carpet in house-keeping, prominent carpet-weaving schools and other issues.
