Azerbaijani composer wins international competition

Young Azerbaijani composer Ayaz Gambarli has become a winner at the ALEA III, 29th International Composition Competition in Boston. At the final concert Gambarli sang his own composition "Méthode de sens" ("Teach-yourself game on feelings").

In the competition 208 scores were presented, of which the finals were achieved by composers from Mexico, Spain, Greece, Azerbaijan, the USA and Poland.

ALEA III has been held annually since establishment of Boston University in 1980 and is one of the most prestigious composers' competitions in the world.
