Azerbaijani people’s artist appears drunk on stage during theater festival in Ukraine

Director of Azerbaijan State Academic National Drama Theater Israfil Israfilov reprimanded actor, people’s artist Nureddin Mehdikhanli.

Israfil Israfilov did it, as Nureddin Mehdikhanli appeared drunk on stage during the theater festival “Theater. Chekhov. Yalta-2011”. Nureddin Mehdikhanli’s behavior surprised the organizers of Yalta Theater Festival. The organizers expressed their objection to it.

Azerbaijan State Academic National Drama Theater staged the play “Shame” by Huseynbala Miralamov. The play is about Karabakh’s truths. The play is directed by Bahram Osmanov. Ramiz Novruzov, Nureddin Mehdikhanli and Matanat Atakishiyeva play the starring role in the play.

Nureddin Mehdikhanli refused to comment.
