State Musical Comedy Theatre of Azerbaijan presents new projects

The State Musical Comedy Theatre of Azerbaijan is to present new projects to spectators. The theatre will celebrate a 100 year jubilee. Thus, "Waves" operetta of people's artist Arif Melikov who was awarded the "Honor" and "Independence" orders, will be staged in Musical Comedy Theatre after 45 years. Residents and guests of Baku will be able to see operetta at the end of the year. The other project of theatre is "Khanuma" by Saqarelli. Performance will be staged in two languages in Azerbaijani and Turkish. That's why well-known director of Georgia Qocha Kapanzade was invited Baku.

Stagemanager of performance is Ana Ni Nua, Clothing producer is Lomqul Murshidzade. People's artist Afaq Beshirqizi will play the leading role. The other leading roles will be played by people's artist Ilham Namiq Kemal, Honored artist Elchin Hemidov, Isabella Shveyts, Akbar Alizade and others. Trainings will begin starting September 1. According to the source, U.Gadjibayli's "Husband and wife", is almost ready. This performance will be presented by the end of 2010.
