E-Library opened in Gakh region of Azerbaijan

Due to the "State Program on the Development of Library-Information Sphere in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2008-2013" approved by the President of Azerbaijan on October 6, 2008, the work on supplying the libraries with information continues successfully.

According to the duties of the State Program, the first e-library of the region of Gakh was established in the region's Central Library. During a short period of time, the electronic memory of the library was enriched with 88 books with 4750 copies. A director of the library, Gullu Ahmadova said, a website of the library had been launched as well.The website presents information about prominent figures, intellectuals, historical monuments, nature, tourism potential, museums, national cuisine, heroes of the region, as well as the Centralized Library System, achievements of the library, past events, bibliographic means and other information as well.
