Tupac Shakur to be commemorated in Baku

The event, due to take place late this month will feature performance of his records.

Tupac Amaru Shakur was born June 16, 1971 in Brooklyn, NY. He was one of the most popular "gangsta rappers". Shakur was known to his fans as the king of "gangsta rap.". Aside from music Shakur made a few movie appearances, one of which was with Hollywood Oscar nominee Mickey Rourke.

On September 13, 1996, Shakur was shot in the Las Vegas metropolitan area of Nevada. Every year millions of Tupac's fans commemorate his death.
