Third International Cartoon Contest "Molla Nasreddin 2010” was summed up in a Vajiha Samadova gallery in Baku.
"I'm glad we were able to found a  competition recognized by all international organizations, and the biggest success is that the European Federation of Cartoonists gave it five-star rating to it,”Chairman of the Union of Cartoonists Bayram Hajizade said.

“This is the highest score. Not every contest can achieve this in neighboring countries, including those in Europe."

This year traditional competition was dedicated to 130 anniversary of the prominent Azerbaijani cartoonist Azim Azimzade. It was attended by 400 artists from 56 countries.

Upon the decision of an international jury consisting of artists from nine countries, a cartoonist from Ukraine Oleksiy Kustovskiy became winner of the content. An artist from Turkey Ahmet Aykanat and Michael Zlatkovsky from Russia took second place. Darko Drzhevich (Montenegro), Marcin Bondarovich (Poland), Freddy Villamil (Cuba) took the third place.

Azerbaijani cartoonist Yashar Samadov won a special prize.
