Zac Efron: 'Pattinson deserves success'

Zac Efron has reportedly praised Robert Pattinson, branding him "absolutely amazing".

Speaking to Access Hollywood's Billy Bush at last night's Academy Awards, the High School Musical star insisted that Pattinson "deserved" all the attention and success he has received.

"He's absolutely amazing. I think he's making great choices," he said.

"I think he's handling it all really well, but you know, he's a superstar. He really deserves all this."

The actor also reportedly joked that girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens wants him to accompany her to next week's 2010 ShoWest in Las Vegas, where she will be honoured as the 'Female Star Of Tomorrow'.

"She's trying to get me to go to Vegas," he explained. "I've not been to Vegas legal yet, as a 21-year-old. I feel like I might get into trouble."
