David Beckham set for comic book biography

30 January 2010 [15:13] - TODAY.AZ
Most people hope to immortalize their life with an autobiography or a golden plaque, but David Beckham is bucking the trend again, as he’s reportedly set to detail his life achievements in a series of comics.
The L.A Galaxy star, who has recently hit headlines with a rumored return to the UK, where he it’s believed he hopes to end his career with Manchester United, will be one of many celebrities due to appear in a series of picture books highlighting the lives of the rich and famous.

The website, bleedingcool.com, who leaked the first preview sketch of Beckham, said:

"It’s sure to go into all his trails and tribulations, his marriage to Victoria and his squeaky voice. It won’t be comic-book hero stuff. Beck’s won’t be saving the world. It will be gritty and real."

It’s also been hinted that the book, written by Peter Rogers and illustrated by the renowned artist Matt Bellisle, will even highlight his alleged affair with Rebecca Loos.

A spokesman for the Beckham has declined to comment.
