Lithuanian artist's exhibition opens in Baku

An exhibition of famous Lithuanian artist Edita Suchockyte has opened in Art Tower Gallery.

The event was co-organized by Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism, NGO Arts Council Azerbaijan and Administration of the “Icherisheher” State Historical-Architectural Reserve, Trend Life reported.

The exhibition entitled "Muse" displays over30 paintings, Trend Life reported.

Unfortunately, the Lithuanian artist  could not came in Baku.

Edita Suchockyte artist is an intriguing personality. She is a singer and a painter. Her career was influenced by her father, Vitalijus, a well know cartoonist and animator. Her works were displayed in Germany, France, Canada, USA, Australia and etc.

She studied at J.Vienožinskis Art School and graduated from Vilnius Academy of Arts in 1999. In 2001 she went to Tanzania where some of the etchings on a variation of childhood and motherhood mixed with the exotic African landscape.

The Lithuanian artist loves to travel, and highlights of her trips are reflected in her paintings.This time Azerbaijan has become a new inspiration for the artist.

The exhibition will last until June 8.
