Brilliant performance of Azerbaijani and Georgian musicians

Azerbaijani and Georgian musicians performed at International Mugham Center in Baku, Trend Life reported.

A joint concert of brilliant musicians kicked off in the framework of Future Stars Music Festival, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Bulbul Secondary Music School, Ministry of Education and Artists Union of Georgia.

The festival which is held for the second time has already become one of the most popular music events among young musicians.

The event was attended by Professor of the Tbilisi Conservatory Nino Katamadze, the soloist of Georgian Opera and Ballet Theatre Elena Janjalia, the soloist of State Symphony Orchestra of Georgia Shota Gogodze, teachers of Bulbul Secondary Music School Umida Abbasova, Fagan Hasanli, Mukhtar Assanov and many others.

Participants of the event included director of Bulbul Secondary Music School Teymour Goychayev, festival's director Nino Kupatadze and director of International Mugham Center, People's artist Murad Huseynov.

In their speeches, they stressed that the concert is dedicated to the birthday of genius composer Uzeyir Hajibayli and National Music Day.

The speakers appreciated the talent of young musicians, adding that such festivals are a chance for them to demonstrate their skills and gain experience.

The concert began with performance of composition "Jangi", an extract from the opera "Koroghly" written in 1936 by Uzeyir Hajibeyli.

The long-anticipated festival also featured the concert of Azerbaijan State chamber orchestra, conducted by People's artist, conductor Teymur Geychayev.

Azerbaijani and Georgian musicians performed famous works by national and foreign composers. Among them are the works of such great art figures as Uzeyir Hajibayli, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Georges Bizet, Vagif Mustafazadeh, Otar Taktakishvili, Fikrat Amirov and others.
