Kamal Abdulla’s book to be published in Japan

"The incomplete Manuscript" novel by celebrated Azerbaijani writer Kamal Abdulla will be published in Japan as he has received a proposal from well-known Suisei-sha publishing house, Azertac reported.

Professor Ichiro Ito translated the novel from Russian into Japanese.

This is Abdulla's second novel to be published by Suisei-sha, which previously published his "The Wizards` Valley".

"The Incomplete Manuscript" is a novel narrating the imaginary life of medieval icons. When a young researcher accidentally comes across a manuscript in the Manuscripts Institute, he discovers the unexpected but well-known epic Kitabi Dada Korkud, combined with the history of Azerbaijani shah and poet Shah Ismail's life set in an entirely new interpretation.

This stunning novel turns into a game of literary fiction that has already thrilled readers around the world.

Kamal Abdulla is a well-known Azerbaijani writer and scholar. He has written works onlinguistics, culturology and mythology, and is the author of poetry, essays, plays, stories, and novels.

His novels has been published and translated into French, Turkish, Russian, English, Portuguese, German, Polish, Bulgarian, Georgian, Arabic, Lithuanian, Japanese, and other languages. 

He is the author of many books on Linguistics, such as, “On Syntax of Simple Sentence in the Azerbaijani Language” .

In his books on Literature studies and literary criticism, Kamal Abdulla writes about problematic aspects of world literature and highlights the invisible aspects of ancient and modern literary processes.

Kamal Abdulla wrote and published many books on Gorgud studies, such as, “Secret Dede Gorgud” (1991).

From 1977 to 1984 national writer worked at the Department of Comparative Research of Turkic languages of the Institute of Linguistics at Azerbaijan Academy of Sciences, holding successively the positions of Junior researcher, Senior researcher, and Head of the Department.

In 2014, Kamal Abdulla was appointed as State Adviser on Multinational, Multicultural and Religious Affairs.
