Azerbaijani film joins Jagran Film Festival in India

Azerbaijan is represented at 7th Jagran Film Festival in India, as the national film " I`m back" directed by Mahir Janas will be displayed there, Trend Life reported.

The storyline is about a young man-the grandson of a veteran of the WWII. Due to family circumstances forced to sell the apartment which he inherited from his grandfather. This happens in day of the victory parade. Selling an apartment for the newlyweds, he leaves the apartment. Conscience torments him at every step. The words of the little boy in the yard "And your grandfather goes to the parade"? hurt him. He bravely returned to the apartment and refuses to sell the apartment.

The feature film starring Ivan Novikov, Aleksandr Udaltsov, Andrei Yudin, Anna Prostova, Pavel Peregudov, Ekaterina Sokolova, Ekaterina Polish was produced by Mahir Janas, Pavel Peregudov.

Jagran Film Festival (JFF) is an initiative by the Jagran Group towards creating a culture of cinema appreciation.

In its 7th year, the Festival received great response from filmmakers internationally having received a record number of film entries, over 3,000 as on date.

A unique feature of JFF is that the cast and crew of a few select films are invited to a discussion with the audience on various elements of the film to wherever the Festival travels. An important aspect of the festival is to generate discussions on the various aspects of Cinema and its impact on society and popular culture.
